Anthony Scaramucci portrait shipped to New York
Well he may not have chosen it on the show, but Anthony Scaramucci acquired my portraits afterwards, so a lovely twist to the tale! Here it is before being beautifully framed by @thepictureframerhitchin and shipped off to New York. Thanks to @transartbox for fantastic servie getting the portrait safely delivered to its new home. And thank you to Anthony for being a great sitter!
Exhibition at the Crypt Gallery 10th - 15th November
A date for your diaries! My solo exhibition ‘A Woman’s Place’ will be at the incredible Crypt Gallery in Euston from November 10th - 15th. Free entry open every day 11am - 6pm. Launch at the Riverside Studios
At the launch of the Bitesize Festival this weekend at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith. I really enjoyed meeting other artists and seeing their diverse range of work. On as part of their Bitesize Festival until 30th August…pop in if you’re nearby!
Deep Cold sold!
I was delighted to hear from a couple who got married at Lauderdale House just before my exhibition there in 2023. They remembered this painting and bought it for their new home.
This mixture of palette knife and large brushstrokes was inspired by a moment when sea swimming, pausing to look back at land. The exhilarating feeling of being at the mercy of the elements and just out of reach of safety.
Exhibiting at Riverside Studios July 6th - August 31st
I’ve officially become too old to work out how to use my new phone camera. This blurred pic is my delivery fo paintings to the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith for their Bitesixe Art Exhibition (my paintings are definitively a large mouthful!) I tried AI to sharpen the image but apart from odd sized eyes (hilarious - must share at some point) it really wasn’t better than blurred. Anyone near Hammersmith please pop in between 6th July and 31st August to see the much clearer originals.

Another city, another crypt!
It seems I have a thing about crypts! My next solo exhibition will be travelling to Bristol next year. ‘A Woman’s Place’ will be showing for the month of March 2027 at the Mount Without gallery which is in…yes, a crypt!
Farewell my beauty!
I dropped off my small lost wax sculpture of a female thinker last week at Castle Fine Arts Foundry in Oswestry. A mould will be made around it and the wax melted to be replaced by bronze.
A Woman’s Place
Super excited to announce my next solo exhibition in London will be at the incredible Crypt Gallery in Euston. It’s not till 9th - 15th November but I couldn’t wait that long to share.
This is a really important project for me as it’ll be the culmination of several year’s work exploring changing female identity through my own experience and in art history.
The exhibition will also be showing outside London in 2027 - details to follow. Better get on with the painting!
Riverside Studios mixed exhibition
I’m very pleased to be having 2 paintings shown as part of Riverside Studio’s summer exhibition. ‘JUMP!’ And ‘I Shout at the TV!’ will be showing from 7th July - 31st August. If you’re near to Hammersmith pop in!
Time to think
Not long ago I had eye surgery and couldn’t look at screens for a while. I had bad double vision with my best bet at creating a single image being to look down. So what to do? I had a lump of wax lying around in my studio for a while which turned out to be the answer!
Here’s the wax model of my latest version of ‘The Thinker’, ready to be melted down to create my first ever small bronze sculpture.
The experience has made me truly grateful for the eyesight I do have (even if the double vision means I’ve got a bit too much of it!) A big thank you to #castlefineartsfoundry who will be casting the model, for the free wax and lots of helpful advice. If anyone wants to have a go, get in touch with them!

Le déjeuner sur l'homme?
Based on “Le déjeuner sur l’herbe’ by Manet (below), I felt this painting was asking to be swapped round! So perhaps ‘Le déjeuner sur l’homme’?!

The Thinker #2
My first sculpture! A second version of a female thinker/doer in terracotta clay. This forms part of my ongoing body of work called ‘A Woman’s Place’.
I’ve learned lots during this process and whilst not happy with it, see it as a step towards something rather than the finished article. The bumpy rotation is due to me turning it on a music stool, but I felt it was a part of the story to give her left side a bit of a theatrical reveal!
Next up, a teeny tiny bronze version. Watch this space.
